CLOCK AND BELL TOWERS
Having been silenced for years due to severe corrosion to the bell supports and stone columns, Kingston upon Hull City Engineers approached Martyn Wiseman of Condor Projects Ltd to find a solution to carry out the repairs without having to remove the bells, weighing many tones.Working in a confined and inaccessible area, removing the bells would have been impossible, so we supported the bells in their position and replaced all the supports and renovated the stone supports with a bespoke epoxy repair system, especially commission for this project.
On completion, the repairs were invisible to the eye and after a 3 month restoration, the bells are now ringing to their former glory.
