Condor Engineering Mechanical Earth Anchors
Over the last 12 months, Condor projects have developed our own custom mechanical anchors that have been used on a number of projects with great success.
We manufacture the anchors in house at our workshop facilities in Selby. We can tailor the anchors to suit the ground conditions and loadings required for specific projects. The anchors can be manufactured in either mild steel with galvanised coating or fully stainless steel. The strength of the anchors has been fully tested by an independent test company so we know what loadings can be applied. We can keep our costs very competitive because of the fact we have our fabrication and welding team.
The anchors can be used for a wide range of applications if the ground conditions are suitable which include:
Ground stabilisation (embankments, cutting, failing crib walls)
Telecommunications masts
Trees
Lightweight structures
Marquees
Non-permanent structures
We can fully customise the anchors to our geological designers’ specifications and loadings with both 60 and 120-year design life.
The real benefit of these anchors is that they can be loaded up as soon as they have been installed. There is no waiting for grout to cure like other drilled ground anchors.
The anchors can be installed with both structural and rockfall mesh for ground stabilisation. We can make any size head plates including decorative if required.
