Biden Clann Raonaild
Biden Clann Raonaild is a telecommunication mast situated an hour west of Inverness, Condor were asked to strengthen the mast concrete base. It was determined that due to the severity of the weather buffeting the tower that four anchors per mast leg was to be required.
The anchors were installed using our tried and proven method of diamond drilling through the slab to reach the rock and then using rock drills to create a rough hole which allows a stronger bond for the resin to bond to our DCP anchor.
We fabricated a specialised ‘L’ shaped plate which capped all four anchors which provided a stronger downward force on the base compared to singular individual top plates.
The client were impressed with the precision and speed that we accomplished the works considering the difficult conditions.
