Condor is due to start the works on reinforcing the cruise terminal bollards in the coming weeks. Our in-house engineering team have been hard at work servicing and upgrading every aspect of the Husqvarna DXR 310 and its accompanying drill mast and Marini rotary percussive drill.

The mast has been re-aligned, and a new drive chain has been installed ensuring smoother movement up and down the mast giving a much greater degree of control for the operator. A new set of clamps have also been added to the end of the mast which are used to grab the individual drive rods to allow them to be separated safely without the need for human interaction with the mechanism.

We have three Marini motors which have all been serviced and cleaned, all of which will be going down to Dover to make sure the drilling operation will continue without delay in case of a mechanical failure.

The final touch was to give the Husqvarna a new look, proudly showcasing our logo and name.

We at Condor are eager to start the project and perform to the same high standard on phase two as we did on phase one.

The Husqvarna is normally used for soil nailing however on this occasion we are drilling through pre-cast concrete; therefore our drilling team have tested the power and durability of the mast/motor by drilling through blocks of concrete at our home base. It has proved to be up to the task.
