Work on the reservoir spillways are essential so they can continue to protect the infrastructure from water erosion. Dating from the Victorian era, the joints between the stone sets deteriorate with time. As vegetation takes root, the stones are forced up and out so during heavy water flow, the base of the spillways collapses. Condor Projects Ltd uses specialist diamond cutting tools to remove the vegetation and clean out the joints. After a thorough cleaning, the joints are repaired and filled using a bespoke pressure pointing machine, injecting a fast curing, high strength repair mortar deep into the joint.
