Resin Injection for Reliable Reinforcement

Condor Projects is a leading civil engineering company with decades of experience working within the geotechnical industry. Supporting businesses, local authorities and landowners across the UK, we provide the highest standard of ground stabilisation and specialist services.

Our mission is to repair and reinforce areas and structures that have become dangerous over time due to age, shifting ground forces, vibrations from traffic and a range of other factors.

What is resin injection?

Designed to bring strength back to tunnels, bridges and other forms of local infrastructure, resin injection is a type of grouting that’s pumped via pressurised injection into cracks and other areas showing signs of weakness. Whilst bringing the concrete or masonry back to its original levels of stability, it can also be used as a means of waterproofing a surface that’s prone to leaks and flooding.

Why not use concrete instead?

When applying resin injection, we use only industry-proven materials from leading suppliers. These consist of epoxy-based resins, aqua-reactive polyurethane resins, acrylic resin grouts and cementitious materials.

If the structure that needs repairing is made of concrete, your first thought may be to fill in the gaps using the same material. However, resin offers even greater results due to it being extremely reliable and ensuring a long-term solution.

In simple terms, resin acts as a steadfast superglue that returns the structure to peak levels of stability, plus it’s a fast and cost-effective option that’s chosen by construction managers and landowners alike.

The applications of resin injection

Over the years, the geotechnical experts at Condor Projects have undertaken a large number of resin injection projects. The system can be applied to all kinds of structures and spaces, including but not limited to the following:

  • Masonry structures
  • Brick structures
  • Concrete structures
  • Steel fabrications
  • Basements, shafts, culverts, tunnels, sewers and floor slabs
  • Bridges
  • Car parks
  • Embankments (void filling and vermin control)

Resin injection prevents water ingress

As mentioned above, resin injection is also a popular choice due to its ability to hold back water. Through the most dependable pressure-injected materials, we can use resin injection to stop water from entering areas such as:

  • Car parks
  • Bridge structures (both road and rail)
  • Basements
  • Tunnels and shafts
  • Manholes
  • Sea defences
  • Lift pits
  • Water retaining structures
  • Canal locks
  • Aqueducts

A tailored approach to resin injection

As with all of our other geotechnical services, we first visit your site to assess the problem and then begin to develop a bespoke solution. This allows us to carry out the task with ultimate accuracy and efficiency, which reduces the time required and in the process minimises disruption to your site.

A comprehensive analysis also means that we can determine the best way to deliver a long-term solution, removing the risk of a one-size-fits-all approach that will lead to wasted materials and limited results. When you choose Condor Projects, you can rest assured that the outcome will be one that does its job for many years to come.
